Should I buy an Apple laptop or build my own computer for half the price?
K so heres my situation. I have $2000 at my disposal to buy a computer . I am going to grade 11 next year and there is only one active computer in the house. I share it with my brother and my father who use it constantly. I was looking into buying an Apple laptop, preferably a Macbook for $1907.85 Canadian. It’s small, its fast, it would suit my needs.
Then I started looking into building custom desktop computers which are really cheap to do these days. I could built an
Intel core 2 duo at 2.4 ghz with 2 gigs of DDR2 ram at 667mhz with an 8800gts graphics card at 320mb for $1000. The case/ dvd burners etc I already have so basically thats all I need to upgrade to game on. I have an xbox 360 but I still prefer computer gaming. Should I invest my money in my old computer, which means in the end there will still be only one computer in the house, but it would be a great one, then spending double the money on a lesser speced laptop with a great OS. Any help would be appreciated.
