iPod/USB Problem?
My computer is no longer recognizing my iPod. I’ve tried plugging into all of my USB ports – get the same “device not recognized” alert. Digital camera and thumb drive work fine. I’ve checked with the Apple Store, nothing is wrong with my iPod or cable. I’ve done troubleshooting using device manager – everything appears to be functioning appropriately. My laptop battery no longer works – so computer is plugged into an outlet at all times – could this have anything to do with it? I’ve noticed that if I do plug my iPod in to the USB the iPod battery drains within minutes. I have a Dell Inspiron 1505, XP, Gen 5 iPod. Any ideas?
